Travelling Allowance Claims for Central Government Employees on Retirement Extended from sixty days to six months

An order, dated 15.06.2021, has been issued by DoE (Department of Expenditure), Ministry of finance, which will give a great relief to the government of employees who are on retirement.

Earlier there was provision to submit the transport allowance of a retired employee within 60 days after the date of travelling from his place of posting to hometown.

Several requests have been received  in DoE to extend the submission period from sixty days to one years. The Department of Expenditure examined the requests and extended the submission of travelling allowance claims from sixty days to six months (180 days) which is really a great relief for the central government employees who are on the verge of retirement.

It is well known that the retired persons required extra time to settle in the new stage of life and this step of government is really applauded. Other travelling allowance except this will be sixty days.
